Our excursion begins with a visit to the Prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri with our guide, learning the history of the island through the findings of the excavations that have been carried out. You will see the paths and well-preserved buildings where the ancient Greeks lived many centuries ago and before they were buried under the volcanic ash that spread, due to the eruption of the volcano in 1612 BC. The result of this explosion was the destruction of the Minoan civilization.
Then you will visit a different beach like no other, the Red Beach: a unique landscape reminiscent of Mars on earth, right next to the sea. We explore it together!
You will also visit the Prehistoric Museum in the capital of Santorini with its special findings. The choice brings to life the Akrotiri of the 18th and 17th centuries BC, one of the most important centers of the prehistoric Aegean, unfolds in front of you.
Next and unforgettable stop is the stunning view of Fira and Firostefani from the emblematic Blue Dome. There you will be able to take unique photos.
After that, take a refreshing break in your day as you visit the black beach of Santorini.
Next is Pyrgos, the oldest village onthe island built on a hill offering panoramic views of Santorini! Postcard-like neighborhoods and alleys, with whitewashed traditional houses and colorful flowers that remind you of the past decades, while enjoying the view ofthe whole island.
Your next stop is Profitis Ilias, the highest point of Santorini with stunning, panoramic views of the only habitable Caldera in the world and its surrounding villages. The perfect location for photos.
At the end of the excursion could not miss a cocktail overlooking the unique – special sunset of Santorini!
